Oban Boat Trips & Wildlife Cruises

Oban Boat Trips

Boat trips are one of the best ways to experience Oban’s coastline, with everything from wildlife cruises and sunset sails to island ferries and seafood tours departing directly from the harbour.

As you leave the bay, views open across Kerrera, Mull, and the rugged Argyll coastline, often with the chance to spot seals, dolphins, puffins, and sea eagles along the way.

One of our favourite ways to spend an afternoon in Oban is simply heading out onto the water, watching the town slowly disappear behind the harbour as the west coast scenery unfolds around you.

Recommendations

Our favourite operators include Allan’s Boat Trips for shorter scenic cruises, Oban Sea Tours for open-top coastal trips, Seafari for wildlife-focused adventures, and CalMac sailings across to Kerrera.

Location

Most boat trips depart from the harbour, pier, or along the esplanade, all within easy walking distance of the town centre.
