    What’s included

    • We use your confirmed Scotland travel dates to research accommodation and check availability on your behalf.

    • If your dates are still flexible, we can instead provide a curated shortlist of excellent stays to help you plan with confidence.

    • You’ll receive 3 to 5 carefully chosen accommodation options per region, matched to your budget, travel style, and preferred type of stay, whether that’s boutique hotels, guesthouses, inns, or high-quality self-catering.

    • Each recommendation includes direct booking links so you can secure the best option easily.

    How we book

We recommend booking via Booking.com, where you’ll find reliable guest reviews, up-to-date photos, and flexible cancellation policies, which are especially valuable when planning a Scotland trip.

We don’t recommend Airbnb as a rule, but we do work with a small number of trusted cottage and self-catering providers where the quality and experience meet our standards.

    Turnaround time

Accommodation research is typically completed within approximately one week or quicker where possible/needed.

  • Cost: from £550 per day (final price depends on tour length, distance, and details).
Group size: small private tours for 1 to 4 passengers.
    Book: make an enquiry here.

Let us take care of the itinerary and the driving – our private tours are designed to give you a truly personalised Scotland experience without the stress of planning or navigation.

We offer day tours or multi-day tours departing from Edinburgh or Inverness, taking you to iconic regions such as Perthshire, Fife, the Highlands, or the Isle of Skye.

Every tour is fully customised to your interests and pace, so you decide what you want to see and do.

Our tours are led by an experienced guide who is also a qualified Mountain Leader, allowing us to include short walks, scenic hikes, and outdoor adventures alongside cultural highlights. History, whisky distilleries, hidden viewpoints, and scenic drives can all be part of your itinerary – whatever suits your interests.

While we don’t book accommodation as part of the tour, we can recommend and help you secure the best places to stay along the way if needed.

With a focus on flexibility, personalisation, and insider knowledge, these tours are perfect for travellers who want to explore Scotland at their own pace, with everything arranged for a seamless and memorable experience.

Personal advice

Between us, we’ve road-tripped, hiked, toured, driven, and holidayed all over Scotland. That means your itinerary is built on genuine local knowledge - we’ve driven the roads, visited the castles, sampled the distilleries, and stayed in the places we suggest. Unlike faceless tour operators, our advice is personal, practical, and rooted in experience.

Tailored trips

We also understand how overwhelming planning a Scotland trip can feel. There’s so much to see, so many routes to consider, and limited time to get it right!

Our role is to simplify the process, make booking easy, and design a journey that creates a lifetime of memories. And we take the time to understand how you like to travel and shape each itinerary personally for you.

How We Plan Trips

Happy Client Reviews

FAQs

  • Generally, we find email best, but we’re also happy to chat via WhatsApp, Zoom, or calls.

We’re flexible and happy to be led by you.

We operate Monday to Friday, responding to emails within 24–48 hours during business hours.

  • We don’t make bookings on your behalf (unless previously agreed) - but we’ll provide direct links to all activities, stays, and suppliers, to make these simple to arrange yourself.

  • Every package includes one round of complimentary revisions once you’ve reviewed your initial proposal. We want your itinerary to feel right for you — whether that means adjusting pacing, adding an experience, or swapping accommodation.

  • If you’ve booked our accommodation research service, we’ll handle hotel research, availability checks, and provide a curated list of recommended stays to suit your style and budget - alongside all direct links (using Booking.com or equivalent platform).

But you’ll make the bookings directly.

Note that we do not recommend Airbnb’s, but we do have trusted cottage rentals we work with.

Sadly we cannot help me accommodation for large groups.

  • Yes — we regularly design extended or more complex itineraries, including multi-region routes, themed trips, and group travel. These often involve more coordination, logistics, and custom research, so an additional fee may apply.

    Examples of complex trips include:

    • Multi-activity adventures (e.g. hiking, kayaking, and wildlife trips)

    • Activity-specific itineraries such as extended hiking routes or whisky tours

    • Elopements or special occasions requiring bespoke arrangements

    • Group or multi-family travel

    • Multi-week road trips covering several regions of Scotland

If your trip falls into one of these categories, we’ll discuss any additional costs before confirming your booking, ensuring full transparency from the start.

  • As far in advance as possible. Scotland’s best hotels, restaurants, and tours book up quickly, especially in high season. If your travel dates are short notice, we’ll always do our best to help — but options may be more limited.

  • All itinerary services are non-refundable, so we strongly recommend having adequate travel insurance that covers cancellation for any reason. Once we begin planning, your itinerary involves significant time, research, and partner coordination, which is why we can’t offer refunds. If you need to postpone, we’ll always do our best to accommodate a new date where possible.

  • The Route & Itinerary Planning package gives you a curated Scotland route and personalised recommendations for things to see, do, visit, and places to eat along that route. It is split morning through evening, and completely custom to you.

You also have the option of a pre-departure call, ongoing support on the lead up to your trip, and we’re happy to be flexible on how we chat!

We’ll set up a private portal for you, and in that you’ll have access to your itinerary, maps, our travel toolkit, and any other trip essentials.

  • Yes — we can design bespoke trips for couples, families, and small groups, typically up to two couples or two families travelling together. Both Route Planning and Full Service Itinerary packages can accommodate these groups.

Please note: for groups or families booking more than one room, we do not book accommodation directly but will recommend family/group friendly stays which suit your budget — you will be responsible for securing rooms based on our recommendations.

In some cases, group itineraries may involve extra planning and coordination, which could incur an additional fee.

All itineraries are tailored to your group’s interests, pace, and style, whether that’s gentle sightseeing, hiking, food and whisky experiences, or a mix of activities.

  • No — we do not offer refunds, and we do not provide payment plans. Once planning begins, your itinerary involves significant research, partner coordination, and bespoke arrangements, which is why full payment is required upfront and cannot be refunded.

We will not start work until payment has been received. This ensures that your itinerary is prioritised and we can commit fully to crafting your bespoke plan.

For full details, please see our Terms & Conditions.

If you have any questions or concerns before booking, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re happy to talk through your trip and make sure our services are the right fit for you.
