Oban Waterfront & Esplanade

Oban Esplanade

Curving gently around the bay, Oban’s harbour promenade pairs classic Victorian seaside charm with sweeping west coast views, where fishing boats, ferries, and sailboats drift across the water beneath the hills of Kerrera and Mull.

The esplanade is one of our favourite walks in Oban, linking the waterfront hotels with the town centre, harbour, and pier, while coffee shops, seafood spots, and benches are perfectly placed for a pause.

If you have time, continue along the esplanade all the way to Dunollie Castle on the town’s western edge; around 25 minutes each way.
