Bonnie & Wild teams up with The Famous Grouse for Six Nations season

Edinburgh food hall Bonnie & Wild is teaming up with The Famous Grouse for the Guinness Six Nations, bringing live rugby, whisky cocktails and special events to the city centre throughout the tournament.

Bonnie & Wild, located in St James Quarter, has been named the official venue for The Famous Grouse Guinness Six Nations Hospitality Clubhouse, showing all of Scotland’s matches on a newly installed, state-of-the-art LED screen.

The Guinness Six Nations gets underway this week, with Scotland’s opening match against Italy taking place on Saturday in Rome.

Live Six Nations rugby in Edinburgh city centre

Throughout the tournament, Bonnie & Wild will screen every Scotland match live, offering an alternative for fans who haven’t secured tickets to games at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

The food hall has invested in a large LED screen specifically for major sporting events, making it one of the most prominent places in Edinburgh’s city centre to watch the Six Nations in a social setting.

In Conversation events with Greig Laidlaw

As part of the partnership, Bonnie & Wild will also host two special “In Conversation” evenings featuring former Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw in discussion with Caroline Blair, announcer at Scottish Gas Murrayfield and TV presenter.

The talks will reflect on Laidlaw’s international career and explore Scotland’s progress during this year’s championship. One event takes place after Scotland’s match against England, with a second discussion scheduled for 12 March, focusing on the game's future and the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

Laidlaw said the timing of the events would shape the conversations, with the post-England match discussion likely to be particularly animated, while the later date allows for a broader assessment of the campaign.

Whisky cocktails and matchday atmosphere

During the Six Nations, Bonnie & Wild will also host a Famous Grouse pop-up bar, serving a small selection of bespoke whisky cocktails created for the tournament. Drinks include The Scrum-Half’s Reserve and The Famous No 9, alongside the venue’s existing cocktail menu and low- and no-alcohol options.

Bonnie & Wild general manager Kate Russell said the partnership builds on the venue’s strong links to Scottish food, drink and rugby, adding that the food hall aims to be one of the best places in Edinburgh to watch Scotland play while enjoying independent kitchens and relaxed hospitality.

A social way to watch the Six Nations

For The Famous Grouse, the collaboration continues its long-standing connection with rugby culture. Marketing manager Karen Daly said the Hospitality Clubhouse concept was designed to bring people together during the championship, combining live sport with good food, whisky and conversation.

With live screenings, city-centre location and a full Six Nations programme, Bonnie & Wild is positioning itself as a go-to spot for watching Scotland’s Six Nations matches in Edinburgh this winter.
