MORE ABOUT Visiting SCOTLAND
Spectacular Scotland: a heady mix of wild places and cosy boutique stays that make it the perfect destination for a real adventure.
Landscapes
Home to some of the most heart-stopping landscapes in the world, Scotland is an outdoor lovers paradise - this awesome landscape encompasses everything from towering mountain peaks and glacial glens, to roaring waterfalls and the deepest lochs.
Hundreds of islands scatter the wild Scottish coastline, strewn with white sandy beaches and postcard perfect turquoise waters. Whilst west coast peninsulas cutting fiercely into the Atlantic can feel like the world’s end, the remote north is equally rugged yet also welcoming - the Highlands calling to those looking for unspoiled nature and a slower pace of life.
HOSPITALITY
Whether you’re searching for whisky fuelled evenings in front of a roaring fire or nights spend wild camping under the stars, you’ll find it in Scotland. Discover traditional villages scattered across Scotland, hiding a myriad of accommodation, from boutique hotels to forest cabins.
There’s a vibrant foodie scene here too. Village bakeries serving up delicious homemade cakes & pastries, and coffee, are a real find. Restaurants too serve up the most incredible food, with a distinct focus on seasonal, fresh, local produce.
And traditional pubs are the best place to experience a dram - especially welcome after a day of hiking, even better in front of a roaring fire.
SPECTACULAR COASTLINES
Scotland has everything that travellers would expect from a country surrounded by the ocean. Journey north, where spectacular cliffs are home to thriving wildlife and incredible coastlines hiding little pockets of paradise. Meanwhile, on the west coast, explore pristine white sand dunes and vibrant sunsets. Both accompanied by charming harbour villages and crystal clear night skies that are perfect for stargazing. The biggest surprise, however, are the mountainscapes. Never too far from the coast, rugged mountains wait to be explored.
ROAD TRIPS
Road tripping around Scotland is the best way to see and experience this beautiful country - the hard part will be picking a destination. The North Coast 500 is an iconic route through the Highlands, but there’s plenty of other options too. Go dolphin spotting & castle hunting on the stunning North East 250, via Aberdeenshire and Moray. Alternatively, discover the soaring mountains of Glencoe and Nevis with a stop at the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct. Coastal adventures await too, following the ocean along the western shore and ferry hop further to the islands. On any route, Scotland will inspire your sense of adventure and exploration.
